Addis Ababa, August 24,--TOGETHER CSO recently hosted an informative orientation session for the children of its right holders, focusing on two critical issues: COVID-19 and child abuse. The session aimed to equip children with essential knowledge to protect themselves and their loved ones during these challenging times.
The COVID-19 portion of the session covered topics such as the importance of hygiene, social distancing, and mask-wearing. The children also learned about the symptoms of COVID-19 and how to seek medical attention if they feel unwell.
The child abuse segment of the session emphasized the importance of recognizing and reporting abuse. The children were taught about the different types of abuse, including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. They were also encouraged to speak up if they or someone they know is being abused.
